PERMIT TO CARRY A HANDGUN

Cost: $100.00

 Completion of this course fulfills the training requirements for a Minnesota Permit to Carry a Handgun.  It also fulfills the training requirements for Wisconsin, Iowa and Florida Permits.  The Minnesota Permit is honored in 25 states and the combination of a Minnesota and Florida Permit is honored in 33 States. Florida application packets are available at no additional cost. 

 This is a basic course for men or women with little or no experience with firearms, as well as for more experienced shooters.  It includes handgun actions and function, legal aspects, practical application of laws, basics of marksmanship, and a live fire exercise on the range.  Handguns are available for those who do not yet own one. 

 NEW: Wednesday Evening Classes: from 5 to 9 pm for the classroom portion and 5 to 6 pm on Thursday, at the Winona Sportsmen’s club, for the shooting portion.

 Instructor is a retired officer, police firearms instructor and Master Class shooting competitor.

 Classes held at the Winona Middle School, Room 101-1, 1570 Homer Road or Winona Sportsmen's Club, 22933 Gun Club Rd. Winona.

 Lunch will be provided for Saturday sessions.
